Firefox finds support
In a developement that I like very much, Firefox is starting to attract support from outside the immediate Firefox community, from website and businesses who so far only supported ad ons for IE, as this article shows. One of them, Bloglines, features a very nice large Firefox graphic on their main page for their Firefox Support Center, and while smaller, Vivisimo has a prominent link to their newly offered Firefox Bar on their Clusty search page. Good signs that the Firefox adoption into the general webpopulation is well under way, since sites as such do not produce that kind of user service unless the believe that their is both a market and a demand for them.
Equally pleasant it was to see that the well known and highly popular British Guardian newspaper actually devoted a leader to Firefox, and it's importance both as an alternative browser to IE and it's general importance for the Open Source movement, for it's full version release.
PS: For those who would like to install Firefox but don't feel confident to do so without help - or those who'd like to know a little more about it's features - this Introduction to Firefox should be of help.
